verses 4 to 5 says NASB

4 “and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but  in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5”

St Paul in his own strength was weak but when it come to the message (κερυγμα)but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power… This Holy Spirit could not be owned by anyone especially those who come with a proud heart.

Who was St Paul writing to?  Who were the audience?  We already covered this earlier but it were the different cliques in the church of Corinth.  Maybe there are cliques in your church where one group think they are  better than the others.  We need to take these words very seriously

and only look to Christ who is our Lord.

If your a Pastor of a church and you know your Bible then you will know St Paul is giving his life and soul for Christ.  Is he working twice as hard as other Apostles?
