18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise. 1 Corinthians 3:18 NASB
Paul has given the warnings and now he is reminding the Corinthian believers of where real wisdom resides… There are plenty of temples in Corinth, but God has chosen these weak vessels of human flesh to build his Temple. I like the phrase “…he must become foolish, so that he may become wise.” In terms of worldly wisdom, we are fools to be pitied for believing this nonsense of the Gospel. This nonsense of the Gospel however in the power of God… How many civilizations have come and gone in the last two thousand years, but the invisible church still stands!
