Yet for us there is but one God 1 Corinthians 8, 6a

17th July 2020

Verse 6a

From a Christian, Muslim and Jewish perspective the first part of this verse is accepted by all three religions.

“yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him…”

This verse is very important for inter religious dialogue as it points to a God who is love, that he created the heavens and the earth.  Maybe some other religions would find the word ‘Father’ difficult to accept but certainly not the content of a transcendent God.
