But have there been any other movements within Islam in terms of Negative theology.  This means saying something about God by saying things that he is not.   The answer to this is yes and the ummah have reached mixed conclusions but it is still there inside the traditions.  This is what I want to look at now with respect.

 Before we move on I wrote the following for my 1 Corinthians blog at chapter 8 verse 6;  Continued later.  This is quite a big topic.  So I will continue on Transcendence but will look at this at a later date.  It is not an easy topic and it covers the philosophy of Kalaam (Kalam), which has many streams of history.
