1 Corinthians chapter 10
Overview
At first glance chapter 10 doesn’t make much sense to me. On the surface, there seems to be a clear break from chapter 9. He now starts discussing Israel’s mistakes and these were given as examples. We are supposed to learn from this history and not make the same type of mistakes. The bottom line is that we need to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus so that we don’t go down these slippery paths. He then goes on to talk about food sacrificed to demons. He touched on this in chapter 8 but here it is covering a different moral object but still related to food sacrificed to demons…
