 ¹¹ Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. ¹² Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall. ¹³ No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

Verse 13 is encouraging because God will not send tests greater than we can endure.  God even tells us that there is a way of escape.  The best escape from my standpoint is prayer and being in regular communion with God.  The problem is that with our human nature we like to only look at our own devices to find a way out.  Christ died for us and we need to trust in Him.  Only in Him and by the Holy Spirit can there be any escape.  And when we fall we have an Advocate, Judge on our behalf…
