18 Look at the nation Israel; are not those who eat the sacrifices sharers in the altar? 19 What do I mean then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything? 20 No, but I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God; and I do not want you to become sharers in demons. 21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons. 22 Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? We are not stronger than He, are we?
Is Paul referring to all the idolatry of Corinth and the various gods. My view is that he is and they stand for demonic powers. In our day there are also many demons and things haven’t changed that much. Instead of god and goddesses they have changed form and people worship materialism instead and worship that along with Hedonsim and ‘playing’. As I said demons have taken on new forms that allow vile sick attitudes. The following picture was taken from Facebook. There was a couple sitting down under an umbrella near the sea and in eye distance there was what looked like a dead person. Our humanity is sick beyond reason and if we have this type of attitude we need to repent. All humans have been created in the image of God
