25 In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 1 Corinthians 11:25
We are commanded by Christ to ‘remember him’ regularly. God became a man in the person of Jesus Christ and he died the death on a cross so that we could be brought into communion with God, and be fellowsharers in this new life with Christ for all eternity. This covenant is costly but it shows how much God loved humanity. Even though we are not even a speck of dust compared to the size of the universe Christ loved us from before the foundation of the world so we should be thankful and grateful for what has been done for us.
Different denominations have various views on the Eucharist. I just want to focus here on the facts. This is a new covenant, the most precious covenant.
